So my daughter is graduating from the 8th grade in 16 days -- we apparently are counting or have been for the past 30 or so. I remember the days of counting down the school year so I am not sure why I find it so funny that she is doing the same thing. I decided to make her a book and send it to her. So I did and she received it today. She sent me a text to thank me and tell me she loved it and then --- asked me what it was for. :) Gotta love her! So I told her she could get the kids to sign it or we can put pics in it or whatever she wanted. She was ok with that. I can't believe that my youngest will be in high school next year.

I have been working on making her a graduation doll on my Cricut using PPDU. I worked on it some tonight so hopefully I will finish it this weekend and post the outcome. So you will just have to settle with the "not-sure-what-to-do-with-it" booklet. I used my Bind it all and of course my Cricut (cartridges were Locker Talk and Hello Kitty).

I also decided to work out tonight using my Wii and the EA Sports Active Personal Trainer.... it may be a video game but wow what a workout.... my legs and arms are still twitching. I decided to do the 30 day challenge which will only be 15 days due to my upcoming road trip. Houston to New Jersey to Ohio to Fort Worth, Texas in a matter of 5 days.... yep, not sure about this one but it should be fun. I get to bring my high schooler back with me for the summer so I am really excited and I get to see my parents for about 48 hours. Guess I need to plan another trip to visit mom and dad later this year.

Card for my daughter's friend going into the Navy

Here is a BIG card I made for my daughter's friend and co-worker who left this week for the Navy... She (a 19 year old) actually asked me to make something for him and this is what I came up with. I used my Cricut Expression and PPDU for the Navy guy and just had a ball making this for her. I had to make it extra big so that everyone from work could sign it.

How to begin

This is my first attempt at a blog and I must admit I am a little nervous. What to say - what not to say? I decided today after spending the morning meeting new people that I needed to reorganize my craft room. I think I really like it but now the little lamps I had over my craft table have decided to not work. If I put all three on, they are all dim, two of the three and they are somewhat dim, if I only have one on, WOW, it is bright. The problem is that I really need all three. Sounds like a trip to one of three "stores" that I told myself I wouldn't go to for a week.... well, I could call it a week and just slip on by. I will let you know what I find. Thanks for joining me on my journey into blogging and maybe one day I will be really good like everyone else.
